Individual Residential Alternatives (IRAs) provide residential habilitation programming with staff support for adults with a developmental disability. IRAs are supervised based on the person's individual strengths and abilities.
The DePaul Residential Program includes three sites with six residents at each site. An Individualized Service Plan (ISP) is written by the resident's service coordinator, with input from the consumer, the family and house staff. Based on the consumer's valued outcomes, the resident works with staff to live successfully in their home environment and the community as well as to work toward more independent living.
