Medicaid Service Coordination
Medicaid Service Coordinators (MSCs) help families to navigate the often overwhelming web of systems associated with services for people with disabilities. Service coordinators conduct a monthly visit at the person's home, school, or day program. Together they discuss the obstacles and goals in the individual's life, along with ways that everyone involved can work toward the person achieving success. The MSC also works with the family to complete necessary paperwork, advocate on the person's behalf, and apply for new services that could be beneficial to them.
