DePaul JobZone - a Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) Program, provides state-of-the-art, evidenced-based clinical and support services to individuals working to achieve recovery from a serious mental illness. Participants engage in services that can immediately and directly address their individualized knowledge and sill deficits to facilitate rapid success with step-by-step guidance to reach one's goals.
Individualized Placement and Support (IPS) is a component of the PROS program which assists people in obtaining a competitive job in the community and is comprised of a menu of services tailored to the individual's needs. Services include a comprehensive assessment, assistance with resume writing, job searching, interview skills and limited job coaching.

Structured skill development and support assist people in developing recovery skills which promote movement toward life goals. These goals could include work, education, community membership, apartment living and other life roles. Staff members, called Recovery Coaches, work side by side with enrollees providing feedback and encouragement. Opportunities to participate in structured employment-like settings are available in the kitchen, office, reception desk, newsletter production, coffee cart, gardening, environmental services and DePaul's T-Shirt Factory.

Individualized dual disorder treatment for people in recovery from both addictions and mental illness.

We offer support for people who are currently employed in the community to provide job retention assistance and coaching as needed.
Additional services include intensive rehabilitation goal acquisition, intensive relapse prevention and family psycho-education.
DePaul PROS is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. with the option of flexibility for people who need different accommodations. Days and times of individual attendance are based on scheduling of the current recovery services being received in the program. People are strongly encouraged to supplement their recovery efforts with community-based activities.
Benefits Counseling
The DePaul City Center had Benefits Counselors certified through Cornell University. Our Benefits Counselors help people manage the reporting of income, review how income will affect benefits, and offer options for those who need to keep public benefits such as SSO, SSD and/or Medicaid in place while they are employed.
Tours are available for potential service recipients, family members and other community providers. Please call us with any questions, to schedule a tour or to request a form.
