Plenty of Ways to Get Up and Go! (Twelve Oaks)

September 16, 2016 (Mt. Airy, NC) ─ First they walked to Mexico. Now residents at Twelve Oaks, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Mt. Airy have taken a total of 2,296 laps around the building, each one representing the equivalent of two miles, to complete a recent walking challenge to Hawaii. The community celebrated the Walking Club’s accomplishment with a summer luau.

Twelve Oaks is also participating in Gentiva Heath Services’ Step It Up Challenge by wearing pedometers to track their steps.
