Celebrating National Assisted Living Week (Southfork)

September 29, 2017 (Winston-Salem, NC) ─ Southfork, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Winston-Salem, recently celebrated National Assisted Living Week (NALW) from September 10 to 16. Inspired by this year’s theme, “Family is Forever,” residents and staff took the opportunity to recognize the strong bonds and lasting imprints they share with each other and the community.

Southfork’s celebration kicked off with a family night featuring bowling, putt-putt golf, bean bag toss and board games, along with food and photos in front of Southfork’s family tree. There were also drawings for baskets filled with prizes which were donated from local businesses including movie tickets to the AMC Hanes 12 Theater, coupons for Zack’s frozen yogurt, putt-putt golf passes for Celebration Station, game tokens from Adventure Landing and a gift certificate to Texas Roadhouse, among others. Residents also celebrated with a donut party, thanks to a donation from Krispy Kreme, and musical performances by Susan Tilllman, Kevin on the Keys, and Dequan and Rie Jones.
