Getting Out On the Town (Woodridge)

March 6, 2019 (Monroe, NC) ─ When it comes to hitting the town for lunch, movies and shopping, residents at Woodridge, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Monroe, have plenty of favorites to choose from!

Woodridge Around Town

Pictured above is Woodridge resident Juanita Dooley at Big Lots, residents Mary Stewart, Jackie Massey, Fred Gibbs, Jean Adams, Woodridge Administrator Janis Walker, Libby Hess, and Carolyn Hinson at Mayfair Seafood, and Woodridge Memory Care Activities Director Samantha Smith with resident Mary Stewart at Big Lots. Residents also love to shop at the Dollar Tree!

In addition to shopping outings once a month, residents look forward to going out to lunch. Mayfair Seafood is one of their favorite eateries in town, along with Logan’s Roadhouse, Chili’s, Olive Garden and O’Charley’s, to name a few!

During the warmer months, Woodridge residents also enjoy outdoor activities and outings such as a visit to the pumpkin patch or a picnic lunch in the park. Another favorite activity is going to the movies at Pruitt Health Union Pointe. Residents are invited to see a movie in their theater for free once a month. The experience includes soda, popcorn and a candy bar, all free of charge.

“A change of scenery is nice for everyone,” said Activities Director Brittany Baucom. “Getting out and about in the community is something residents never tire of.”
