Cruising with the Classics (Horizons)

July 3, 2019 (Canandaigua, NY) ─ The parking lot at Horizons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Canandaigua, was recently transformed into an auto show for Father’s Day thanks to the help of several community members!

Horizons Car Show, 7.3.19

Pictured above in a Grey Chevy pick-up truck is Horizons resident Terry Muller and standing next to the orange Chevy Roadster is resident Garda Houston. Wayne Sherry brought a white Pontiac and father-and-son duo Cory and Mike Chappell brought their Chevys for residents to enjoy. The residents’ smiles and stories were priceless as they reminisced about being teenagers again, said Activities Director Sarah Mason.

“They talked about working on car engines with their dads and riding around town with their friends and how they didn’t have to wear seatbelts,” said Mason. “The car show was a continuing topic of discussion for several days. We hope that next year we can do this again and have even more cars to show!”
