Pinterest-Worthy Crafts (Woodridge)

July 15, 2019 (Monroe, NC) ─ From Flag Day to the first day of summer, residents at Woodridge, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Monroe, are getting creative with eye-catching, colorful works of art.

Woodridge Arts And Crafts

Pictured clockwise left are Woodridge residents Christine Eide, Judith Cairns,  Gloria King and Aline Drawdy.

Both craft ideas came from Pinterest and required simple art supplies and household items. Inspired by the arrival of summer, residents used pink, black and green construction paper torn into small squares and glue to create watermelon slices. In a salute to Old Glory, residents adorned paper plates with stars and stripes using red, white and blue paint, resulting in homemade American Flags. The finished projects are displayed in residents’ rooms, on their doors and throughout the building.
