Random Acts of Kindness (Pee Dee Gardens)

February 28, 2020 (Florence, SC) ─  From giving to receiving, residents at Pee Dee Gardens, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Florence, have been feeling the love and passing it forward!

Chaplain John Allen Lynch with Hospice Care of South Carolina brings bible study to Pee Dee Gardens twice a month. Pictured on top left above, residents Mildred Tyner, Clyde Brigman and Harry O’Brien enjoy devotions with Chaplain John.

“A lot of seniors find it difficult to get out for church, so I feel like I’m making a difference in their lives,” said Chaplain John. “I get a lot of satisfaction from it. I love my job!”

Residents recently passed the love forward with random acts of kindness by delivering cookies to McLeod Regional Medical Center and CW Counseling and Consulting Center. Pictured above delivering cookies are residents Jackie Singletary and Linda Knight, along with a hospital staff member (bottom left) and Pee Dee Gardens Med Tech/Personal Care Assistant Phyllis Warner (bottom right).

Dr. Carol Wright of the CW Counseling and Consulting center said it was a delightful surprise to have someone take the time to come into our office and share cookies.

“It gave our staff warm hearts knowing this type of kindness still exists,” said Dr. Wright.
