May 15, 2020 (Mt. Airy, NC) ─ Mother’s Day was a celebration fit for a queen at Twelve Oaks, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Mt. Airy. From corsages and cake to photo shoots and ice cream sundaes, residents were showered with love!

Pictured above, resident Pauline Younger is all smiles for a special Mother’s Day photo shoot, resident Treva Collins shares her favorite memories of mom, and Vivian Lakey shows off a corsage made by Activities Director Anna Burford.

In addition, residents like Dawn Grady, pictured below, far left, received some window visits, and enjoyed ice cream sundaes and cake thanks to donations from residents’ family members Kathy Bricker and Joe Harrell.

“Being a mother is one of the most precious gifts,” said Twelve Oaks Administrator Penny Haynes. “Whether you’re a mother, have a mother, or love someone like a mother, there’s no better reason to celebrate!”
