Crafty Minds, Busy Hands at Woodcrest Commons

May 20, 2020 (Henrietta, NY) ─April showers have given bloom to a myriad of colorfully creative crafts at Woodcrest Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Henrietta.

Woodcrest Commons Arts And Crafts

Pictured clockwise above are Woodcrest Commons residents Ann Gulick with a sand art project, Rosa Rivera Vargas with a hand-painted ceramic bird house, Rosanne Bourne shows off a bumble bee she painted, and Andrea Heath displays a colorful spring flower heart painting she created!

Similar to a color by number kit, residents created the zoo-animal themed sand art using a pre-made canvas with adhesive surfaces which residents could pour the sand onto in stages to create the image. The flower canvas art was created using with stencil patterns and paint on a canvas. Once the artwork was complete, residents finished it off with some decoupage and glitter to give it some shimmer!
