From Vacant School to a Centerpiece of City Living (VIDEO)

School 60, closed for nearly 10 years in Buffalo, NY’s Black Rock neighborhood, had been an important part of the Riverside community for 100 years.

Now, through adaptive reuse, the building has been transformed into the DePaul Riverside Apartments containing 68 affordable housing units.

“From meeting the growing need for quality affordable housing options in Buffalo and throughout New York State to the rebirth of a major centerpiece in the community, this project has been a win-win for all those involved,” said DePaul President Mark Fuller. “DePaul is proud to be part of the Riverside community revitalization efforts.”
