September 22, 2021 (North Tonawanda, NY) ─ “Compassion, Community, Caring,” the theme of National Assisted Living Week from September 12-18, are a common theme all year long at Wheatfield Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in North Tonawanda, New York.

Wheatfield Commons seniors have been staying engaged and entertained with a number of activities. Pictured top row, Richard Wawryznek takes in the sights at the Sanborn Lewiston Farm Museum. And pictured bottom row, left to right, Christine Pruetz gets into the fall spirit prepping pumpkin parfaits, Lenora Carroll paints a cherry blossom tree on canvas, and Corrine Gates checks out some of the goods at a recent jewelry sale at Wheatfield Commons to benefit the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

“This year’s National Assisted Living Week is very special because of the enormous challenges of the past year,” said Wheatfield Commons Administrator Kathy Hyland-Dion. “Compassion, Community, Caring’ reflects the hard work and dedication of all the caregivers in assisted living communities and highlights the importance of family and remaining connected to those you love.”
