It’s a Wonderful Life at Glenwell!

December 29, 2022 (Cheektowaga, NY) ─ The holidays have been merry and bright at Glenwell, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Cheektowaga, with meaningful crafts and festive celebrations.

Residents made ornaments honoring their heritage while listening to holiday music from around the world. Among those featured were Spain, Mexico, Germany, England, Ireland, Africa, and pictured top left, Ruby Joiner hangs a red bird ornament representing the Polish heritage.

Pictured top right is Dolores Dominiak with a snow angel which was created in observance of the first day of winter. The angel’s hair represents the clouds, its lace collar represents snowflakes falling, the button of the gown represents fallen snow on the ground, the halo made of dried orange peel represents the returning sun, and the flowers symbolize the eventual return of summer.

Pictured bottom left, Pauline Nassivera received a stocking filled with goodies donated by Zion Dominion Ministries during a holiday social which included a visit from the Grinch, games and homemade mini cheesecakes, and on bottom right is June Blattenberger with a completed reindeer craft project.
