A Glamorous Day at Glenwell

March 17, 2026 (Cheektowaga, NY) ─ Hope Rises, a volunteer-driven nonprofit, and the Kind Kidz Crew pulled out all the stops for the third annual “Love Yourself” at Glenwell, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Cheektowaga.

Residents were treated to punch and Paula’s Donuts while listening to a performance by Mel from MEL’s School of Music & Theater. Attendees made bracelets with Mount Mercy Academy and were also treated to some pampering with makeup done by Pure Luxe Spray Tanning and hair and nails by volunteers from the Erie County Department of Aging. Denise Englert donated adorable Squishmallows and Creations by Marissa donated handmade soap which volunteers handed out along with donated hats and gloves, bags of chocolates donated by Platter’s Chocolate Factory and wooden Valentine’s Day tags. Thank you to all the volunteers and donations from M&T Bank and Ford Motor Company and everyone who continues to make this magical tradition possible!
