July 16, 2025 (Cheektowaga, NY) ─ A star-spangled celebration, sunny outdoor picnic, colorful art, and pampering has added a little extra sparkle, vibrancy and pizzaz to the season at Glenwell, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Cheektowaga.

Residents, families, and staff had a fantastic afternoon filled with great food, fun, and music during a recent summer kickoff party at Glenwell. Festivities included live entertainment by Oyer and Morgan, a menu including hamburger sliders, street corn, ice cream, and strawberry lemonade plus a festive photo booth. Pictured bottom row, Linda Markiewicz shows off a festive summer painting she made to hang in the Activity Room, Virginia Winter shows off a patriotic handcrafted bracelet which she made during the community’s Fourth of July celebration, and Rita Wrobel and Bonita Roos soak up some self-care at the community’s newly remodeled salon. This inviting space, completed by our Maintenance Coordinator Dmytro Shutka, and designed by our Administrator Tina Hagen, features gorgeous photos of Glenwell taken by our Marketing Director Stacy Jasinski.

Glenwell is currently raising money for the 2025 Buffalo Walk to End Alzheimer’s with an Ice Cream Float Sale on Wednesdays in July from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Glenwell at 2248 Old Union Road Cheektowaga, NY 14227. Floats are $3.00 each. Donations to Team Glenwell can also be made here.
