In July 2023, DePaul created an affiliation with Eagle Star Housing. After the affiliation, DePaul identified evidence of unusual activity in an Eagle Star Housing employee’s email account. DePaul’s IT department investigated the unusual activity and identified unauthorized access to the employee’s email account beginning in April 2023. Upon learning of this, we immediately secured the employee’s email account. Through our investigation, we determined that an email and/or attachment in the employee’s email account could have contained some resident information.
