Bookworms Unite! (Southfork)

September 4, 2014 (Winston-Salem, NC) ─ The voracious readers at Southfork, a DePaul Senior Living Community, are eating up the wide selection of large print books at the Clemmons Library.

Seniors from Southfork visit the library at least twice a month, usually on Saturday mornings. Pictured here among the books are Southfork residents Violet Rice, Judy Sink and Sherry Colbert.

“The public library has been important to our community and especially our residents because it allows them access to media and new things such as surfing the internet,” said Activities Director Sabrina Gooden.

“It gives our seniors the opportunity to share experiences and ideas with others around them.”

The used book and audio sections of the library are also popular among Southfork residents, as they enjoy checking out CD’s and movies, according to Gooden.
