Oldies but Goodies at Wheatfield Commons

March 14, 2018 (North Tonawanda, NY) ─  Buffalo’s very own “Andy Williams” crooned his way into the hearts of residents at Wheatfield Commons, a DePaul Senior Living Community in North Tonawanda. Johnny Dee, as John Dinunzio is known on stage, recently performed a variety of music from the 50s and 60s, including popular hits from Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett and Dean Martin.

“It brings me great pleasure to see the joy on people’s faces when you walk around with the microphone and let them sing,” he said. “You can really see that music makes them feel good.”

We all enjoyed having Johnny Dee because he makes each of the residents feel like they are special and when they sing with the microphone, it makes them feel like an entertainer themselves,” said Activity Director Judith Stecher. “He is very personable and interacts with each of the residents.”
