Egg-Citing Times at Wexford House

April 12, 2018 (Denver, NC) ─ Easter was a hoppin’ good time at Wexford House, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Denver. Residents enjoyed plenty of egg-themed crafts over the holiday, from dipping them in pretty colored dyes to creating festive paper wreaths along with the help of youth from the Student Outreach Service (SOS).

Students from SOS provided all the materials to make the Easter egg wreaths and also gave each resident a Blessing Bag containing shampoo, lotion, socks, snacks, a toothbrush and toothpaste, which were assembled with help from the Denver United Methodist Church. Residents also celebrated with a hunt for candy-filled eggs followed by an Easter social!

Student Outreach Service is a student-created, student-led organization, based on Christian principals but open to students of all religious beliefs. The organization is recognized and supported by Helping Hands of Lincoln County. Members of SOS serve an ongoing, bi-weekly mission at the Hill community in Lincolnton with student-led and created bible studies and crafts. The group will return to Wexford House in about one month for another fun intergenerational experience!
