From Wexford House, With Love

February 20, 2019 (Denver, NC) ─ From a celebration fit for a king and a queen to special gifts and manicures from volunteers, residents at Wexford House, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Denver, are feeling the love after a fun-filled Valentine’s Day celebration.

Volunteers Pat Young and Donna Forrest surprised residents with framed portraits and manicures. Pictured top left is Pat Young with resident Gloria Barber and pictured top right is Donna Forrest with resident Donna Parker.

The Valentine’s Day festivities continued with a party during which residents elected a king and queen, Howard Farr and Alda Bean, pictured on bottom left. Also pictured at the party is resident Edna Davidson on bottom right.

Howard is always willing to help other residents, whether that be accompanying them on their way back to their room after a meal or just a friendly hello in the halls.

“He has a great outlook on life and is always brightening people’s day with his smile,” said Activities Director Leslie Spinner.

Alda is fairly new to Wexford, but already, her personality lights up the halls and her smile is contagious!

“She likes to sing and dance and just have fun with other residents,” said Spinner. “I think Wexford House picked the perfect pair for king and queen.”
