Sweet Treats for Sweethearts at Wexford House

February 18, 2021 (Denver, NC) ─   Valentine’s Day was filled with small delights and big masked smiles at Wexford House, a DePaul Senior Living Community in Denver, thanks for the generosity and creativity of staff and community members.

Pictured above enjoying everything from homemade Valentine’s to candies, balloons and more are Wexford House residents Dot Weinel, Sara Bramlett, Edith Cashion, Jackie Taylor, Ruby Dowdell and Lester Reinhardt. Many thanks to these and the many other staff and community members who made sure residents felt the love on Valentine’s Day in so many ways!

  • Miss Samantha’s Preschool class from Westport Baptist Church provided precious homemade Valentine’s cards and goodie bags for residents, in addition to cookies for our staff! Special thanks to Hadley, Audrey, Rogan, Colden, Bennett, Callan, Leena and Colsen!
  • Wexford House Personal Care Assistant Amber Paris, and her family for provided balloons and cards for residents, as well as staff.
  • Wexford House Med Tech Brittany Johnsen helped coordinate a donation of Valentine’s Day gifts for residents and staff from students at St. James Elementary School as part of their “Kindergarten Cares” service project.
  • The Lincoln County Public Library and community guest artists gave each resident a homemade painted heart as part of its “Art from the Heart” initiative.
